Family Stories

Words shared by former client families

These stories reflect individual experiences with Mallory's work before the founding of The Finding Place.

“You have played such a key role in our son's programs and success. Just like you said, you know where we are going and the plan ahead for him. I have trusted your judgment since the first day I met you, and am confident in your skills to help him and many other autistic children; you have proven it to me over and over.”

“I am finally living the life I have always dreamed. I have a life watching my son be happy, make friends, and enjoy life. I want you to know we think of you often and will never forget that you gave our son back to us.”

“What I am most thankful for are all the hugs and kisses, all the praise, all the hope, and all the support my little baby has been given by you over these years. He would have never come this far if you had not nurtured his little spirit the way you have. Thank you for loving him, thank you for celebrating him, and thank you for believing in him.”

“We are so grateful that we found you. Our child is thriving. My wife and I are so happy that we found you and your program. An autism diagnosis is a difficult thing for parents, as there is no standard roadmap for treatment. To find competent, compassionate people who genuinely care about your child and his future is an amazing relief. Truly, thank you.”

“Miracles rarely work overnight, but it did not take long before we retired the pull-up, were bombarded with questions, and received hugs any time of day or night. A year and a half of daily activities, struggles, and accomplishments led to something I never thought possible: my little boy, my sweet, happy little boy who could not talk, did not play with other children, and did not say a word to his grandma, started kindergarten this fall. He is in a general education class, reading at a second-grade level, and can count backward and forward by threes. He has extra accommodations because of his autism diagnosis, but he is learning alongside his typically developing peers because he BELONGS there.”
