Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about our approach, services, insurance, and how to begin.

What is ABA therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis is a science-based approach that helps individuals build meaningful skills and reduce barriers to participation in daily life. At The Finding Place, ABA is individualized, relationship-centered, and developmentally appropriate.

What are Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions?

NDBIs combine developmental science with behavioral principles. Skills are taught through play, relationships, everyday routines, and meaningful activities rather than relying primarily on repetitive drills.

What does assent-based mean?

Assent-based practice means paying attention to an individual's communication, preferences, and willingness to participate. We believe meaningful learning is more likely when individuals feel safe, respected, and engaged.

Do you provide in-home and telehealth services?

Yes. The Finding Place provides in-home services in North San Antonio, Stone Oak, Alamo Heights, and Northeast San Antonio, along with telehealth services when clinically appropriate.

Do you accept insurance?
